Chromium is a base provided by Google that's used to build browsers, but people using it can just strip out the Google trackers from the code.

I've heard of this Fediverse thing but I don't know what it is, can you tell me what it's all about?

Hey, this suggestion is for the sub's moderators. As you know, many FOSS services have paid versions, and it turns out many of us can't afford to pay for all of them every month or year. My suggestion is that the sub's mods set aside one day a month to highlight service subscriptions that are on sale; this would help the community A LOT in several ways. Upvote if you agree and share what you think in the comments, thanks for your time (:

hey man, what's up, I've got some updates. I installed Fennec and used it for a bit, it actually seems pretty good, I'm really considering using it as my default, even though I'll miss Brave's speed, the nice UI, and the widget showing how many ads were blocked, but Fennec is lighter (storage-wise) and has everything I need, like, it's not "Oh my God, the best browser in the universe," but it does what it's supposed to, I'm happy with it.

Thaaaaaank you

How do I get rid of that baby icon next to people's profile names? I really don't give a damn how many days ago you created your account.

Honestly, that mindset is way too narrow. For instance, companies and services like GrapheneOS, Fossify, Proton services, and many others are free or have free versions, but that doesn't mean they're selling your info to aliens from Mars or whatever. They might be supported by donations (like GrapheneOS and Fossify) or have paid versions of the product (like Proton and Tutanota services). Either way, saying "if you're not paying for something, you're the product" as if it applies every single time is a really outdated way of thinking.

my comment was totally a joke, anyway, I don't use tiktok to watch videos, just to talk to some friends that I can only get a hold of specifically through tiktok
