Deutsche Bahn is 100% owned by the German State and everyone has the same conditions for track access 🤦‍♂️

For an example of a privatised industry, think the healthcare industry in the Netherlands. It can’t be nationalised and made public, it has to remain private forever as long as the EU exists.

What about renationalising an industry that was already nationalised during EU Association?

It's just moronic and destroying Clock-Face-Scheduling. Also infrastructure gets built for Timetables, like in Switzerland. That's why concessioned services have priority in Slot Allocation over Open-Access Services.

Every country that has good working rail service has an integrated operator

They just charge waaaay more than they would get from advertising

No they will draw up the contracts for the new Deutschland Semesterticket. It's in the Article

[-] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

However, how quickly the new ticket policy can begin will depend on when General Students' Committees (AStAs) draw up contracts with German transport associations.

Hier die Upgrademöglichkeiten beim NRW Semesterticket: (https://www.ots-nrw.de/cms/page/219.cms_page_219)

Just go to a pharmacy that vaccinates. It's simpler

Germany, but you have to pay for yourself (~50€)

[-] [email protected] 14 points 3 days ago

As there were multiple unacceptable comments in the past weeks, I've added a further rule to make it explicitly clear that we won't accept or tolerate racist, antisemitic, dehumanizing or Nazi-Glorifying behaviour.

Long post and well worth the read, but the interesting part to me is this:

Windows operating system and apps

Customers using Windows have always used a combination of operating system functionality as well as apps, but now Windows will clearly identify operating system functionality in places like Settings, Start, and Search:

  • Settings > System > System Components will show notable operating system components.
  • Start menu’s All Apps list has been renamed to All and operating system components are labeled with “system”.
  • Under Search, search results will show operating system components labeled with “system”.

All apps in Windows can be uninstalled. Of course, apps can always be installed again from the Microsoft Store and internet. Settings > Apps > Installed apps continue to show all the apps installed on the PC and we’ve added the ability to uninstall:

  • Camera
  • Cortana
  • Web Search from Microsoft Bing, in the EEA
  • Microsoft Edge, in the EEA
  • Photos
