People forget that the next step of Google will be the inconvenience. Meaning they'll make Firefox work badly on YouTube and other google websites. Have a video not play here, bad css layout there. Subtle stuff that will make people hate to use Firefox and because Google is dictating the Web standards, they will do so, in fact they actually already do. I've already had a few websites using some kind of PWA framework, that was horribly slow on Firefox compared to Chromium based browser.

Great and in 2 -3 years we find out, that someone has actively abused this security hole for years and stole whatever master key is required, to create their own fake government CA and has been spying on everyone for years. Or political opposition was imprisoned before they could act. Best is, such man in the middle attacks allow for all sorts of things, including putting fake evidence on your computer.

So, like all the others, while China will produce cheap eCars. Look, I don't want to predict the future, but if I only have 20-30k for a new car, I simply physically can't buy a 60k SUV. You can't jump into a saturated market of other car companies, who almost all seam to want only expensive eCars and expect a good outcome. Pseudo romanticizing of the old web. Yeah, I don't like that we're heading into a corporate super controlled web but as of now, that still vastly better than it used to be before search engines were a thing. I also only look back with a nostalgic eye at the time of gaming magazines because it was fun, but it's so much better to be able to Google stuff now. I don't miss dealing with web design out of order, wild west style.

Old website navigation was often bad and ugly. Everyone had a forum but you never found what you were looking for. And web design unavoidably had to change to allow better mobile access. You could no longer load in font size 6 blue on top of blue as that would (correctly so) annoy people and make them stop visiting your page, when ther was a better site available.

Now social media isn't necessarily bad, we're on one after all, but there are definitely harmful social media who are just made for ragebait, like Twitter and Facebook.

It's a fact though that you need more googlefu now, to find what you're looking for.
