Bifold (lemmy.zip)

Here's a bifold I made for a relative. Made it with pueblo leather, aquagum glue, meisi linen thread and fiebing dye + tokonole for the edge work.

Happy to share details about the craft.

I cut a smaller piece of leather, skive it to the proper shape, and glue it in between the two sides. I usually glue it to the flesh side of the bottom layer, then fold the top layer over, on top of the assembly. Top layer is an oversized rectangle and inner layer is true to size. Once everyrhknis glued together I cut the top layer to its final saze by following the shape of the inner layer and then I saddle stitch the strap and finish with the edge work.

Here's one with more details than the previous one, and one more pic of the strap from above !

Sorry, it was a gift and I didn't take a pic of the other side as this was exactlyas you called it, a tease for the person I made it for. Most time I don't take pics of the other side since it's mostly interesting to us hobbyists haha I'll look into my pics and will share one with the othe inner side up if I find one!

Watchstraps are definitely my favorite thing to make, so here's one I made, more are probably coming haha.

I'm happy to share additional Info about it if you have any question.

So any paper filter will do the job, and the brand/model will not have much impact? I would've though it mattered but if it doesn't I'm happy to keep on going with the cheap filters I can get around the corner haha!

The filter rest (for lack of better wording on my side) is the ceramic thingy on which I put the paper filter, and I put it directly on my much indeed. Is this called a V60?

Thank you for your reply. Any advice on a filter rest brand or material I should look for ? I can't edit the original post but here is a picture

Hi!

I'm looking for ways to enhance my coffee experience at home and since I'm mostly drinking drip, I figured that after grinder and water, filter has the most impact on taste (if I'm mistaken feel free to offer your advice :).

So I've started looking for suggestions on filters and read good things about Sibarist, Hario Meteor and Cafec T90 but to be honest, I don't know what to look for in a filter, so any help here is much appreciated !

Also, I'm using a cheap cilio ceramic filter rest (see attached picture), so maybe I should get something better for flow?

If the filter can be reused to avoid unnecessary waste it's a nice bonus.

Cheers,

Lots of debt to preserve their healthcare system, but they'll have to take the money somewhere else, I'm betting on public services and unemployment insurance. Plus they have a big political trial coming soon, solo I would've pumped the numbers to 1M, and even so I wouldn't say it's safe haha
