Judging by the name RungeKutta62, named after a class of numerical integration methods and thus two mathematicians, I'd say they're a nerd themselves.

Every other year the EU tries to pass another mass surveillance law - and the EU court of human rights rules it illegal.

Pretty sure a court told them to.

No, their point is about people thinking all people of a group have a characteristic because some of them do.

Populism is basically about simple solutions for complicated problems, and blaming every problem on a certain group of people.

From the right, the most prominent example is immigrants, while from the left, it's mostly rich people.

Watch everyone forget that correlation doesn't equal causation when it confirms their biases.

I think the main advantages over C are:

  • better tooling
  • modern syntax
  • by default, pointers must be non-null. You have to specify if you want to use null pointers
  • better exception handling using the functional style of exceptions-as-values

There are probably more, but those are the ones I remember.

It does: Light does not follow the path of minimal distance between two points, but the path of minimal time. This is called Fermat's principle.
Because water has a higher refraction index than air, light is slower in it and therefore takes a longer time to travel through it. Thus, it takes less time to take a longer path that spends more time in the air.
Fun fact: The underlying law of this principle is the principle of least action. This is the most basic law of nature we know of and can be used to derive all of physics.

I recently was in the BMW museum and they actually had a whole section dedicated to their Nazi past and how they want to never do that again. Do with that what you will but at least they're not shoving it under the carpet.

It's visibly made in word. That's enough to be rushed.
