This is a huge part that I don't see a lot of talk about, and I feel like this knock-on effect was intentional by the admin to "take revenge" on these institutions that they see as a cultural enemy, even though the concept of these places being "Marxist factories" is laughable.

Though it's online, Path of Exile 1 has a fun necromancer path if you start as a Witch. I never finished the campaign but even then my max horde was like ~50-60 minions running around murdering everything for me.

Not exact sure if this fits your hardware requirements but there's a lot of fun summoning abilities (especially with workshop mods) in Divinity: Original Sin 2.

That share a major river that Pakistan completely relies on and India controls the source of. It's probably one of the scariest potential flash points of conflict that almost never gets talked about, at least in the West.

Just to add on to your point, this effect has been shown to be triggered over a relatively short period of time. The Dutch Hunger Winter of 1944-1945 caused by the Nazis blockading urban centers in the Netherlands under their control from the rural food producing areas triggered this epigenetic adaptiation in the children and pregnant mothers (who passed it on to their then unborn children) that were affected. All from a single famine lasting from roughly late September/early October 1944 until early May 1945.

every other guy will be in gay relationships, but in a totally manly way that’s about avoiding any contact with feminizing influences

a bizzare subsection of German fascists adjacent to the Wandervogel movement were unironically saying this over a century ago. everything old is new again.

I think it would be mistake to think that these things weren't being planned for or that the highest levels of Western governments aren't climate collapse aware, even if the public-facing rhetoric is all about climate change being a hoax or whatever bullshit is being spun to make sure the average American isn't (rightfully) extremely alarmed at the situation. The highest echelons of the Western militaries have been planning for climate collapse scenarios for decades. Although it's definitely correct to say that even without a collapsing biosphere that these tools of imperial control would have eventually turned inward anyway.
