Isn't the labor secretary being anti-business in the job description? What use is an anti-labor labor secretary?
Any GOOD labor secretary is, yes. The GOP and the right wing of the Democrat Party don't want a good one, though. They want someone who's anti-labor or at least a total pushover.
But being pro-business over labor is the job Republicans are being paid to do.
The Republicans and Sinema. Possibly Angus King and some conservative Dems too.
So what exactly is the Senate doing while they’re refusing to appoint secretaries?
The GOP thinks their job is to obstruct anything a Democratic president tries to accomplish, and then they can say he didn’t get anything done.
What’s the GOP platform look like for re-election: “we’ve done nothing at all, really”
"Biden did nothing, elect us instead (so we can make everything even worse!)"
Sadly I don’t think the GOP has come up with any good policy in nearly a decade. I think in 2020 they just photocopied their 2016 policy book, which was nothing more than to wreck healthcare even more than it’s already wrecked.
Oh yeah their 2020 platform included criticism of “the current president”
fuck all
Cashing paychecks and hoping that Republicans can get the presidency or a super majority. At least that’s what I assume since they also aren’t getting a budget through the house
"Anti business" in this case is pro labor protections, I'm assuming
