There used to be a community here for it, but it was closed due to a lack of active mods, and generally suffered from a lack of activity as well. That sort of sums them up, unfortunately. The main guy who started it made that TED talk and got everyone excited, but the project was pretty badly managed, poorly documented, and failed to establish any sort of sustaining media presence. As @spaduf@slrpnk.net mentioned, the project hasn't seen any meaningful activity in years, and it appears the whole thing fizzled out.

I can't organize it, but I'd be happy to help workout the logistics of something like this. I have minimal time but I do have some experience helping organize big projects. This is a cool project, a community fork would be awesome.

Honestly I think reframing the project with a focus on reproducibility would go a long way. Feel like that was one of the major problems with the existing project

This seems interesting, but it takes a lot of time. My guess is, that's why they stopped the project. It's just too time consuming.
