Critics say president using well-worn playbook – with loyalists in key positions ready to amplify his message

Donald Trump is “inventing fraud” in California’s primary elections, and likely to ramp up unfounded allegations when more races go against him, pro-democracy experts have warned.

While the US president has used this playbook for years – from his loss at the Emmys as a reality TV star to his defeat in the 2020 presidential election – election integrity campaigners fear this time could be different.

“California’s election is not the problem here,” said Omar Noureldin, senior vice-president of policy and litigation at Common Cause, a pro-democracy watchdog group. “The problem is that we have a president in the Oval Office who continues to lie and sow doubt over elections instead of facing accountability from voters.”

Oh California has election fraud? What does that have to do with the fact you raped kids and actively protect pedophiles, Mr. President?

He's manufacturing an excuse to send the military in and take over state government.

Casting doubt about our democratic electoral institutions without providing a shred of proof should be punishable by hanging.

As in, if you do it, you have one calendar month to provide proof or you're hanged.

"baseless claims" aka lies.

If scientists could figure out a way to generate energy from the infinite alternatives to the word "lie" the media keeps coming up with, our energy needs would be permanently solved.

Worked for him in 2024.

Trump cannot win an election, he has to steal it.

So, same things been doing for years. Roger that

He is an expert at inventing fraud.

Just wait a few more month. It is going to get insane and Americans will do nothing.

Americans have been doing quite a bit. The problem is our entire federal governmental system has serious problems, and those problems are being exploited by an evil administration.

The November elections are the first actual chance we've had to correct this since the beginning of Trump's second term.

He knows what's coming, so he's attempting ratfuckery now. The fact he's freaking out like this is good news, so long as the ratfuckery doesn't work.

It didn't work in 2020.

Get insane? Is it not already? A fat, incompetent, incontinent, senile, felon is running the Whitehouse. Has demolished one wing of it, and erected a thunderdome in the front lawn. That's not insane?

Ah, but in a few months the USA will run out of gas reserves and Trump will get increasingly desperate near the mid terms. USA will then experience full Fascism.

Americans are so poorly educated they don't even realize Trump is using Fascist slogans from the 1920s.

Jews in Italy strongly supported Mussolini. Leopards eating faces is not new, or unique to the USA.

A pro-democracy watchdog group - those people must have their blood pressure through the roof this past year and a half. Seeing as there’s clearly not much they can do about anything.
