If you don't find anybody better suiting, I would help as mod.

I am not a historian though, I did my PhD in chemistry.

I liked and read askhistorian a lot on the other site before I left and like to learn more. Therefore I would like to help out here, if nobody else better suited steps up.

Can I throw my hat in the ring? I'm a history fan, I don't subscribe to any religious beliefs that inform or perverse my understanding of history, and I have some free time.

Know of any? It is what I consider a laid back job. Just looking for people who can Knowledge Bomb others and once in a while get rid of the hate and the rules are kept up.
