Sounds like a bad adapter, if you reach out to killswitch they might send you a new one.
You can also get pretty cheap displayport to hdmi cables online.

I use the adapter and it just works. I haven't removed the adapter from the dock since I got it and the adapter also works with my android tablet, but only without the tablet case. But since it works without the adapter then the adapter is probably broken. Check for bent pins.
I don't see anything wrong with the pins/ports on either side of the adapter, the Docking Station's cable, or the Steam Deck. Everything works for me (including charging, USB peripherals connected to the Docking Station, or connecting the Docking Station to other devices instead of the Steam Deck), except for HDMI out to monitor/TV when using the Kill switch adapter.
Just to confirm, you're connecting the Docking Station to a monitor/TV via HDMI (not DisplayPort)?
Works on my Beamer, 3 different TVs and a Capture card. Haven used Displayport on it yet.
Thanks for confirming. Do you know when you got your Killswitch? Maybe I received an older model that doesn't support HDMI for some reason?
I bought it once the Oled came out.
