I bought a PS5 shortly after release, mostly due to my gaming PC at the time having no end of issues and not owning a console since GameCube. I upgraded the gaming PC last year, but I still play the PS5 or steam deck primarily because the room my PC is in sits between both my kids' rooms and the only time I can game is when they are asleep. It also makes for a decent Blu-ray player for the three Blu-ray movies that we own. (Rankin-Bass Christmas specials that grandma got for the aforementioned kids)

Only reason I got into this generation is that the Series S was so cheap I could set it up for me and my SO to play games together. With Xbox you can buy one copy of a game and have both people play it at the same time, so for $200 (cost of the Series S when we bought it) we could play co-op games that didn't have splitscreen.
I'm currently trying to push her into a steamdeck of similar so we can migrate away from the consoles.
Nope! The Switch is friggen awesome.
Maybe you're just getting older OP.
I'll never go back to pc gaming, it's never worth it, and I prefer playing from my couch. The main problem with the current gen of consoles is that there still really hasn't been a game that actually shows off the full power of what can be done. Gta6 probably will... If it even gets released this Gen
I do 90% of my PC gaming from a giant lovesac. Either with a controller, or a lapboard for keyboard and mouse with a long powered USB cable and built-in hub:
