I want tricorns to come back in style. I dont care for the powdered wigs and other silly fashion of the era, I just want the hat, the look neat.

idk if menβs fashion as a whole is ready for a new cycle, but I sure am!
This year itβs skinny capris with button cuffs!
Maybe next year is puffy sleeves! No Iβm not joking, I enjoy peacocking.
Then maybe long curled hair, and styled facial hair! Show people you care how you look again!
Then waistcoats! With pocket watches (maybe pocket watch smartphones? Kill your browsing habit?)
Then capes! Because capes!
Variety! You can wear it across the ages and just look dapper! And we can bring back the word dapper because it would apply again!
maybe pocket watch smartphones?
I actually do this. I attach a pocket watch chain to my smartphone and keep it in my waistcoat pocket: https://lemmy.world/post/20134543
Excellent! Ahead of the curve! Love it!
Dare I say, dapper, even?
I don't like the trappings of classism and reject suits and all other formal wear as daily requirements. Let people just be comfortable
The last picture doesn't seems that confortable.
Oh man you gotta try wearing compression pants for sports it's comfy as hell
You mean leggings? Im a guy, and i wear leggings unapologeticly.
No one stops these nostalgia nerds to dress however they want. I don't understand the problem
I can wear a tux and be perfectly comfortable. If you can't, you've likely never had clothes that fit properly. (That's a $110 Amazon tux BTW, not some fancy Italian tailoring.)
Author is just jealous that they canβt pull it off.

Thank you I learn something

I love trans camo meat guy and I hope he's living his best life with even more wild fashion choices.
Be the change you want to see!
I think that 1800 fit is awesome. I'd love a heavy structured coat.
Nobody is stopping you?
Suits are OK, but I'm really sick of them. They're great if you want to look manly in a sophisticated but understated way (or look so feminine that you still look great and feminine in a suit), but I just don't want to dress manly anymore plus they're uncomfortable and I get wicked pit stains in every dress shirt I've ever tried. Though I don't want to make a bold statement, either, so the 1800/2018 options aren't that much better. My current favourites are winter clothes (big jacket, scarf etc.) and pajamas (separately).
Trying so hard to go back to the good old 1950s that you overshoot and hit 1948
You could be dressing like the 15 year old French detective rn
