Honestly feels like a herculian task to get westerners to realize that they were told getting sick makes you stronger so they could keep exploiting you at work and not have to pay for or deal with worker absences.
One of the worst messages during 2020 from health professionals was “My mask protects you; your mask protects me.” They should have understood that westerners are generally against helping others in anyway.
Trying to explain to people that the term "immunity debt" was literally fabricated out of whole cloth and has no scientific basis makes me feel fucking crazy.

The fact wearing masks during flu season/when theres any disease around is a common social norm is like the one thing where Japan is genuinely above most of the world in a positive way
