"As revolutionaries, we don't have the right to say that we're tired of explaining. We must never stop explaining. We also know that when the people understand, they cannot but follow us. In any case, we, the people, have no enemies when it comes to peoples. Our only enemies are the imperialist regimes and organizations." Thomas Sankara, 1985

I don’t have an exact quote to point at, but a very good book for understanding Stalin is “Stalin: History and Critique of a Black Legend” by the Italian historian and marxist Domenico Losurdo.

You can find a version of the free PDF here: https://www.iskrabooks.org/stalin-history-and-critique

You can also find the audiobook of this on torrents and youtube.

There's a speech he gave in the plenum of the Central Committee of the CPSU where he got elected again as a General Secretary by the people, here's the link.

This is pretty much all I have, I hope it helps!

Has anyone been able to track down the original source of this? I'd be interested to see it in Russian or any of his speeches, really

This book mentioned in this post might help -> https://lemmygrad.ml/post/8953715

Besides that book, you can also find some good sources in page 23 within this document regarding Stalin: "Anti communist myths debunked" -> https://archive.org/details/anti-communist-myths-debunked/page/n21/mode/2up

Not sure if your wanting more article length sources or books but the podcast Proles pod did around 10 episodes on Stalin and in their show notes they list lots of books that the read for those episodes. you can look that up if you want lots of book sources. Also the podcast episodes themselves are very good and give a lot of details.
