I'm always clamoring for their attention :3

Is piefed like lemmy on steroids, or is it a whole other thing?

[–] Blaze@piefed.zip 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It has a few features that Lemmy does not have, such as crosspost comments consolidation: https://lemmy.world/post/38541993

As you're on Lemmy.world, you can give https://piefed.world/ a try, but they are running an older version, otherwise https://piefed.zip/ is good, here's the latest monthly report: https://piefed.zip/c/home/p/655491/lemmy-zip-piefed-zip-server-update-november-2025#post_replies

Thanks for the info, can it replace the lemmy app with it? Or are there like protocol drawbacks?

[–] Blaze@piefed.zip 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Summit, Voyager, Mlem work for both Piefed and Lemmy

There aren't really any drawbacks

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Cool, is the difference how you host communities, or are they using 2 different protocols under the hood? Or can you make a "lemmy" community with it?

I'm asking because I wouldn't mind changing away from lemmy.

Hosting is the same as for Lemmy: you can only create a community on your home instance.

I am currently on Piefed, this is how your comment appears: https://piefed.zip/post/680019/comment/2317431

Time to move on it seems! Do you recommend any piefed browsers?

[–] Blaze@piefed.zip 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

If you mean instance, https://piefed.zip/

If you mean app: Summit, Voyager or Mlem

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 2 points 14 hours ago

Thanks!

I already use summit (and connect) will figure if I'll migrate from world or not now.

Any Android app recommendations? Voyager is broken for me for some time now, posting doesn't work anymore.

[–] Eldritch@piefed.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Interesting, I'm on voyager on piefed and things are generally working. How is it broken for you.
