I think they really made a miscalculation on the Hasan attack angle.

For one, I think most New Yorkers have no fucking clue who he is, or what the connection to Mamdani even is. Nor do they care.

Second, I think many New Yorkers might actually agree with the sentiment. There are voters who were born years after 9/11 and have watched this country operate for two decades now. Most of them are too savvy to have the intended kneejerk reaction when they hear 9/11.

This type of ad is meant to stir up the racism. Basically, remind the boomers to vote with their racism, not their brains.

I haven't seen the ad, but I assume it is not depicting him as his 10 year-old self, at the time of 9/11.

The obvious response is running ads with Cuomo + Epstein, right? I don't even know if that's a thing, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Cuomo had ties to that circle.
