Which I wasn't expecting at all.

Just reading up on his Wikipedia page, someone in Upper Hutt is quick off the trigger with the results 😆
This bit was interesting:
Guppy diverted money from Three Waters funding to pay for floodlights for the rugby club which he is president of. He was accused of a "conflict of interest".[16]
So, it sounds like we're in a similar situation to Wellington with a huge backlog of infrastructure investment. Lovely.
Also, this guy apparently had Graham Bloxham of Wellington Live running his social media for a while, which seems like a shocking lack of judgement.
We got an ex national MP for our mayor. So excited......
