True, but postulating heteros can't wear midriffs is a super weird take. It does come off as homophobic whether or not that was the intention.
edit: Now that I've thought about it, every male character I've seen in a movie dressed like this was portrayed as heterosexual. So croptops are actually a hetero fashion trend. You should embrace it!
