Yeah, I bet. It is surely is hard to beat a system where they have full control of both the hardware and the software to be fully optimized for each other. Hard to compete with that. Too bad I dislike pretty much everything about Macs other than the battery life. 🫤️

Well, I bet it’s everyone who used them not long enough to understand their different logic. They do have stupid interface decisions indeed. But overall it’s just many times better than Windows in every single department.

I grew up with Macs. It's not that in my case. I've used so many desktop environments and window managers in my years, every Windows all the way from 95 until 11, ChromeOS for like 10 years, Gnome since the 2.x days until well into Gnome 3, Xfce, KDE, some more obscure ones like River, Awesome, Mango, etc, and some older ones for X11..., i3 for probably more than a decade also, Hyprland, and now my baby, Niri.

macOS has some of the worst window management of them all, worse than Windows. It's so clunky and slow. I haven't used a Mac in maybe 5 years, maybe it suddenly got better after ~30 or so years of my familiarity with them, but god dang. Yuck.

When you realize what else is out there, it's awful.
