Just anything to needle at the left, especially by calling them fake revolutionaries, which I think was her point here. It's kind of hard to tell.

It's 100% this, yeah. She was the one said the "Firebomb a Walmart" thing, right?

She was not, but she did do the "They don't want power, they want to endlessly critique power" line

It’s just funny how adamant she is about that one stupid take and how much she likes to repeat it. Does she know that there have been successful “leftist” revolutions in the past?

Oh no she's fully mad about the french revolution. Like she made a point that the only reason Marie Antoinette was killed was because people were jealous/envious.

So like... I've seen Marie Antonette's house, and the little fake village where she pretended to be poor.

And it makes all the sense in the world that they chopped her head off. It wasn't because they were jealous. It was because the nobility's entire way of life was untenably built on the suffering of the French masses, and the contradictions mounted such that they did a little slicey slicey about it

The reason she got her head chopped off was because she and her husband tried to do treason. Like we can't even argue about that part, she and her husband sought to use their office to support a foreign country invading France and an anti government movement seeking to undermine its institutions. Literally no one was trying to get her head chopped off until then, the vast majority of the national assembly were monarchists, with the largest contingent being some form of constitutional monarchist with very large leeway given for the institution of the monarchy.
Even after she had tried to literally do treason Robespierre flipped his fucking lid at the Dantonists for trying to bring in salacious rumors about her excess, debauchery and poor character.
