"Transportation using lightweight vehicles such as bicycles or scooters, especially electric ones that may be borrowed as part of a self-service rental program in which people rent vehicles for short-term use within a town or city.

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.

Moving with assistance is better than not moving at all, and people with e-bikes tend to ride for longer because it's easier to do so.

I certainly do. When I had an acoustic bike, I felt like some of the hills around me were annoying to ride up, so I didn't ride as much. Now I can boost up the steep hills, and ride with no assistance the rest of the ride.

Exactly. I love my mechanical bike but my ebike has definitely been used more

yeah this is an under-appreciated aspect of e-bikes: you stop fearing exhaustion, because at any point you can just turn on assistance and take a break.

I don't even have range anxiety cause the bike is perfectly fine to ride without juice.

Unless the bicycle looks smth like this, calling it acoustic is ridiculous.

I'll get one at some point in my life, hopefully they won't all be flimsy crap by then.
