Its great and all, but just mindlessly listing these without any explanation what each does is not really helping much.
@RootBeerGuy
Go search for yourself - just a click away. And you call me mindless.
Doing search for each of the listed ~20 names both tedious and unrewarding process. Adding few words about each project would help person decide if they need more info. I'll put my 2 cents: Protonmail: secure email service, which claims not to sell your data for advertising. F-droid an alternative app marketplace for Android with preference for free and open source apps.

If people are too daise and maisy to literally click a bunch of links, it's all a bit barry.
You're kinder than I am.
Instead of everyone getting a short introduction, everyone would need to click every link and read a bit to get a fundamental understanding. You are posting here to spread awareness, part of making that successful is providing necessary informations instead of a bunch of links.
@Eheran
One would think a minuscule bit of reading after a few clicks would be a small price and microscopic effort for the privacy these organisations might provide.
Then again, sign of the times, perhaps?
No, it was never different. People don't have time to spend on every single tiny part of their live. Example: How much time do you spend researching how to properly wash and then control the cleanliness of your clothes? How to optimize water and energy usage? How to prevent premature damage of the fabric?
If someone posted 30 links detailing this vs. giving 10 sentences with the big takeaways, which would be more impactful?
@Eheran
If the list was not useful, I would get off my fat butt and educate myself instead of acting like a total Billy Hunt.
You clearly have more than enough spare time. You started and continue what amounts to a useless and pointless discussion.
If it ain't helpful to you, get over it and move on.
It is exactly NOT about me, but about every random person who stubbles across your post.
I was trying to tell you how to increase impact. If your don't care about this (constructive) criticism, then YOU need to move on.
My example should be plenty good enough to get the point across.
@Eheran
It was a simple list that I made.
You initiated a discussion.
I disagreed.
And yet you claim I need to move on from a discussion you started.
Grow up.
@cosmogore
Thanks for the list. I love lists like this. I take a quick look to see if there's something new to me, if there is I might take it from there with some reading or just try to remember the name.
@Eheran @burchalka @RootBeerGuy
If some people don't find the list helpful, be gracious and appreciate that someone made the effort. Then move on to something worth complaining about.
They literally put fdroid in the list. Have you seen the title of this community?

All good, dude, and thanks for the support! Hails and blessings to you.
