"Mymble", as an insult not a name, is what Tove and friends used to call loose/desperate women.

Ouch! But characters adress her like that, don't they? And she doesn't mind? Is girlie that self aware? Or is it not an insult in-universe?

Ah, no, in reality it was an insult they used.

For the moomins she made a charachter named Mymble.
