What about nothing? Is nothing a thing that exists? Or is it simply the lack of existence? (Probably the latter)

Well, kinda. Nothing can, under certain conditions, become more of a gradient of nothing. Some spots are more nothing than others. And, if i understand correctly, you can tune your measurement scale in order to measure an area of nothing and find nothing.

I wanted to be sure so i asked Nothing, and they were very certain: Butt, Death, and Taxes.
