I legit had no idea she was supposed to be one. As a gay man I also wasn't immediately swayed by the fact that she's hot (badumtiss). I had not seen any artwork of the game or even the trailer when I started playing it. All I knew was that people would not shut the fuck up about it and I felt left out. I was avoiding looking into it because I didn't want to feel more left out. So when I encountered her, I just didn't realize. Now. The fact that she was on the splash art for the game should have been a hint but my brain just went with "She's there as an important figure for Wyll". I NEVER ONCE realized what was going on.

To be fair, I was also playing as a Durge and leaning heavily into it. I wasn't questioning much of anything, I was going full murderhobo on my first few playthroughs. I was just delighted that such an option even EXISTED so I jumped aboard. Didn't see Gale for the first few playthroughs either because yummy hand. My first sex scene was with Mizora and was WAY MORE FUCKING GRAPHIC than I was anticipating it being.

Last random thought but when I did my first playthrough as a good guy, I was romancing Wyll because he's hot. But the second he started prancing around like a deer it basically shot his sex appeal in the head with a cannon. I remember choosing a cold as shit option at the end of it and him looking like a hurt puppy dog and I INSTANTLY went over to Gale. Started talking to him and realized I actually quite like every single part of his character and have never looked back. My husband <3
