Are people down voting because he voted to open the vote? I'm so confused, all of this is so damn confusing.

It's because Schumer worked to get this to happen, then bowed out at the end so he could pretend he had nothing to do with it. He was the architect and the driving force behind this capitulation.

So people are downvoting MiddleAgesModem for falling for a blatantly obvious attempt by Schumer to redirect blame.

It’s because Schumer worked to get this to happen, then bowed out at the end so he could pretend he had nothing to do with it.

What have you read that proves that to be true?

He was the architect and the driving force behind this capitulation.

Again, based on what?

So people are downvoting MiddleAgesModem for falling for a blatantly obvious attempt by Schumer to redirect blame.

I have more upvotes than downvotes, in case you didn't notice. Maybe not everyone agrees with your unsubstantiated accusations. Some of us still need proof to form our opinions. You disregard proof so you can maintain your inflexible opinion.

Absolute fucking bullshit. Pathetic fucking lies so you can carry on with your pre-existing hatred of Schumer. He did exactly what you said you wanted him to do and now you're blaming him for something? Stupid. Dumb fucking baseless conspiracy theory, I swear you guys are no better than Trumpers.

He was the architect and the driving force behind this capitulation.

Prove it, dumbass. You're just a progressive dipshit blatantly lying to stick it to the "establishment Dems".

So people are downvoting MiddleAgesModem for falling for a blatantly obvious attempt by Schumer to redirect blame.

I have 17 upvotes and 7 downvotes, dumbfuck. Do you know what numbers are?

He didn't do 'exactly what I said I wanted him to do,' don't put words in my mouth and lay off the insults.

As for 'prove it,' what proof would you accept without degenerating to more namecalling and flagrant ignorance of current events? The fact that the only senators claiming Schumer did a good job and is 'solid with the caucus' are the 8 Democrats that flipped? Levin and McMorrow outright stating they no longer support Schumer as senate minority leader due to his actions? House Democrats like Jefferies and Khanna also stating that he didn't fight and needs replaced? Wahls stating that the Democrats who voted were given his blessing, and motherfucking Jeanne Shaheen herself- one of the very democrats that voted to capitulate- directly confirmed on Fox News Schumer was involved the whole time.

Spice Hoarder asked why you were getting downvoted, not why you were negative, and I answered that question. Also, for the record, when I did answer that question, you WERE in the negative. And judging by this reply, you should have stayed there.

Probably because it is naive to think that Schumer didn't approve or even push for the Democrats to capitulate.

[–] MiddleAgesModem@lemmy.world 0 points 1 day ago

I'm sorry, it's naive to not believe your dumbfuck, baseless conspiracy theory?

Other way around, champ.

People are downvoting because they're using this to fulfill their pre-existing hatred of Schumer. Even if it doesn't make any sense.
