You have to get it on the record. Been burned so many times in life for not having the receipts, or asking for them.
Now the administration has no choice but to ignore the letter or lie. We know that makes zero difference ATM, but it might in the future. 🤷🏻 Best play it safe and enter something official. Also, Representative Raskin gets to say, "I tried!"
What should they be doing otherwise?
i mean if they are "top democrats" don't they have ANY power at all? are they decorative now?
republicans seem to do all sorts of shit to bog democrats down when they are in power, so that too.
For 40 days democrats did all they could, they refused to compromise. Today they broke that status quo. When you don't have the votes and you don't have the message, you have nothing. Dems have failed for 50 years to do what Republicans have of infiltrating all levels of government such as mayors, governors, and judges.
There really isn't much left for Dems to do except yell loudly, write loudly, or refuse to participate in the process. They've failed to get themselves in any strategic position to do anything else.
We should all be mad and upset at them. Theyve failed to play the same game that the Republicans have won at. But short of physical altercations there is very little else Democrats can do
and then it was all for nothing wasnt it. if they are elected representatives, isn't there more they could be doing to combat fascism? republicans seem to successfully get their way even when not in power.
