At my last job, I requested an L-shaped sit/stand desk, and my boss said to just order whatever on the company Amazon account. I ended up with some no-name dropshipped crap since I just wanted it fast and it wasn't my money so just picked the first thing that came up. It was actually good enough that they bought like 10 more for other people, and it worked great and was cycled between sitting and standing several times a day every weekday for 4 years. Nobody who got one ever had a problem. It was one of the simpler models that had just an "up" and "down" control button, no fancy height memory or whatever (which might be a good thing, less things to fail)
I would question the ethics of making the same purchase for myself, but with respect to the product itself, it was perfectly serviceable and worked great, and was definitely a great bang for your buck compared to a more expensive "name brand" desk.
This is good to know, thanks! I've just had some not-so-pleasant experiences with dropship stuff, I try to avoid it nowadays which feels like a Herculean task. Everything is frickin dropshipped these days...
