Only the base is a GW product. Everything else, including the lascannon barrel is scratch made.

Yes I know the tops are too grey and the helmet camo is more WW1 associated. Artistic license.

This is a pretty rough FDM print I got my hands on second-hand, and I decided to paint up and see if I could make it tabletop worthy.

I'm wrapping up a project and I had an idea to mix matte with glossy elements. I've got a spray can of Testors Spray Dullcote and then was wanting to paint the glossy elements by hand with a different gloss coating/finish. How well would those interact with each other? I'd obviously let the matte finish dry first, but would the matte "cancel" out the glossy effect or does it have some other interactions that basically make it not worth pursuing?

Some of the new models from the free faction update. Love the army standart bearer.

Test model for my Mummified undead army painting project. I think I'll add more color depth to the cloak and experiment with some different bandage color tones in the future.

I've been away from miniature painting for a while, but I just bought the new heroquest and want to paint it.

The miniatures seem to be made of a weird rubber or soft plastic that I've not used before, what kind of primer works best on these? I'm worried normal primer will just flake off.

Edit: I probably should add, I'd prefer something I can shoot through my airbrush.

I've collected enough for a 1K army, just need to get through and finish up the painting now. Slightly regretting choosing an army with so much trim as the first minis I'll paint, and even more so that I painted them in slightly ugly colours first and am now having to repaint the Rubricae... But I am excited to finally table them sometime in the future!
